The Past: A Legacy Built on a Handshake

Our story began just after World War II when our founder, Puff Weaver, returned home with a passion for cars and a knack for helping people. After gaining experience selling vehicles for Nash and Ford, Puff decided to forge his own path. In 1955, he opened Antrim Way Motors, a dedicated used car dealership built on an absolute commitment to his customers.

Puff traveled everywhere-from Leesburg and Frederick to Herndon and Fairfax-to hand-pick the perfect vehicles for his buyers. It was on one of these trips that a local pharmacist, Edward Carl of Carl's Drugstore, asked Puff a unique favor: to find and bring back a brand-new, unfamiliar vehicle called a "Honda."

That single request changed everything. After Puff brought that first Honda back-which famously featured a makeshift medicine dropper attached to the top to drum up attention-the local community couldn't stop talking about the "Honda Car." Soon, Puff was bringing home countless Hondas, eventually securing the franchise and becoming one of the very first all-Honda dealerships in the United States.

The striking blue 1972 Honda 600 Coupe on our showroom floor is a piece of living history from those early franchise days, serving as a daily reminder of where we started.

The Present: Generations of Trust & Modern Service

Today, Puff's long-term commitment to his customers remains the heartbeat of our business. That legacy has been proudly passed down through the Weaver family to today's leadership:

Under Greg's guidance, we have blended old-school values with modern automotive excellence. A major milestone in that journey came in January 2008, when we moved into our current, state-of-the-art facility. We designed this space to feel less like a traditional dealership and more like a welcoming community hub, complete with premier onsite amenities for our guests:

  • The Cafe @ Antrim Way: Relax, catch up on work, and grab a delicious bite to eat while you wait.
  • The Shoppes at Antrim Way: Enjoy unique boutique shopping and gift browsing right inside the dealership.
  • Antrim Way Collision Center: Our state-of-the-art facility is fully equipped to repair all makes and models, providing expert craftsmanship and eco-friendly technology to restore any vehicle to factory standards.
  • Onsite Enterprise Rent-A-Car: While our routine maintenance guests enjoy our dedicated dealership service loaners, we also house a full Enterprise office right inside our building. This provides seamless rental coordination for our Collision Center customers and serves as a convenient rental hub for the general public.

While we started as a small local operation, Antrim Way Honda is now proud to employ a dedicated team of over 65 knowledgeable professionals. Our focus isn't just on selling cars; it's on customer retention and lifelong relationships.
